Tapas Dinner at Toro, South End

we have always wanted to try Toro so finally we came here for lingling’s birthday! they don’t accept reservation so we went there really early, around 6pm. but it was already pretty packed and we waited for about 20mins.

we started with sangria which was really good! not too much wine nor too much juice. it’s just right!striped bass. it was pretty good. fish was moist n flavorful. smoked duck drummetes. i don’t like dark meat so it was ok to me ^^”uni sandwich! i like uni and i had the same thing at Coppa, but they were pretty skimpy on the uni. Toro’s one was great! i liked it!crispy pork belly. it was ok. not too memorable…roasted bone marrow. i was a little biased cos i just used bone marrow to make pho broth n it was a little greasy… so i felt the same here ^^” but i believe it should be good if i didn’t have pho the day before or so..hanger steak. it’s just normal. not standing out.Paella!! we call it Spanish fried rice! it was very flavorful and my frds liked it a lot! fried potatoes. i ordered it just because people were raving about it on Yelp =\ it was the last thing they brought to our table n we were full already. so it ended up being my breakfast the next morning =p

grilled corn. another thing that people raved about. overall we like this place and would like to come back again and try something else! it’s by far the best tapas place we hv had in Boston.
